Tree to tummy in less than 12 hours (nap included)

Small Steps to Appreciating Your Food:
Take yourself (and your kids) to an apple orchard.
Pick apples. Ride a tractor. Pet the farm dog. Chat with the farmers.
(Optional: eat an apple doughnut. Or six.)
Go home and take a nap.
Wake up, and start peeling and coring.
Add sugar, water, and cinnamon, and simmer until it looks like applesauce.
Enjoy the fruits of your labor, and think hard about what it would take to grow and prepare everything you eat.
Give thanks for farmers.
